As someone who has been following the beauty world since the age of 12, I’ve found a few favorites along the way and thought I’d share a few of my favorite makeup artists.
1. Lisa Eldridge
Lisa is hands-down my all-time favorite makeup artist. While Lisa has her hands full working as the global creative director of Lancôme, she still posts informative videos to her YouTube to help others learn her techniques. She also donates all of the revenue from ads before her videos to charity.
2. Sam and Nic Chapman
I’ve been following Sam and Nic since I first became genuinely interested in makeup. My first ‘real’ set of brushes was from their brand, Real Techniques, and I remember spending hours watching their tutorials. Fast-forward today and I am still constantly learning new tips and tricks from them.
3. Harriet Hadfield
I can’t quite remember how I stumbled upon Harriet’s YouTube channel, HarryMakesItUp, but I sure am glad I did! Not only does she share tutorials, but she also shares advice for those hoping to become makeup artists or work in the industry.
4. Karima McKimmie
Karima is someone to follow if you’re a complete nerd such as myself and love in-depth informative content, as she often thoroughly explains her reasoning for different techniques and products she uses. It also doesn’t hurt that her content is beautifully edited.
