I decided to take a much-needed trip home this weekend after a busy beginning to the semester! Instead of overpacking like I normally do, I gave myself 15 minutes to throw what I was taking into a bag. Since I usually end up not wearing any makeup the whole time I’m home, I just used a Glossier bag to pack a few products in. Here’s what I packed:
I decided to go as minimal as possible with my base and chose products that were sheer to light coverage that I had the ability to layer up for more coverage if I needed it for some reason.
Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer – This is a new product for me, so I’m still testing it out, but so far so good! It has very minimal coverage but does a great job at evening my complexion out without being too heavy. It has hyaluronic acid in it, which is great at adding moisture to the skin!
bareMinerals bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer – This concealer has pretty decent coverage, so I only find myself using a little bit of it. It’s also great to use in spots where I need more coverage than what the tinted moisturizer gave me while still feeling super light!
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder – This powder is great at making my makeup last without looking heavy or powdery.
Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzing Powder – This is another product that is new to me, and I find myself having mixed feelings about it. If I’m not careful, it clings to certain spots of my skin. Other bronzers I’ve used go on smooth even on bare skin, but this one seems to need to have a layer of powder underneath it.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush (Exposed) – This formula is super long-lasting without looking powdery. This specific shade is great at giving just the right amount of color too!
Even though I only have two products, I can get a complete eye look by using the matte bronzer I brought too!
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerize Cream Eyeshadow (Bette) – If I decide to wear something other than just my bronzer all over my eyes, I’ll add a bit of this cream eyeshadow just for a little bit of sheeny goodness.
Tarte Maneater Mascara – This is my favorite mascara! I have trouble with mascaras smudging all underneath my eyes, and this is the only one I can wear for hours without any problems! It gives the prettiest, natural-looking volume while not being clumpy, which is my favorite look.
Benefit Precisely, My. Brow Pencil Ultra-Fine Shape & Define – I recently switched out my Anastasia Brow Wiz for this pencil, so I’m still seeing how the two compare. So far, this one gets the job done, but I can’t tell a huge difference.
Benefit Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel– I ran out of my Glossier Boy Brow a little while ago and decided to try this instead. Sometimes this can go on too heavy, but I think it’s just where it’s new. If I wipe the excess off before going in, I don’t have as many problems!
